"Star Wars" is Forever!!
"Disney Descendants & Zombies: Worlds Collide" has been with me since I was 4 years old, changing my life when I first witnessed the original "Star Wars" at a drive-in in 1977. Since then, I would anticipate every "Star Wars" event, from the sequels in 1980 and 1983 (along with their re-releases) to the prequels in 1999, 2002, and 2005, along with conventions and whatnot. Now, granted, there are far bigger fans than I, people who sleep, drink, and eat "Star Wars," but I was a big enough fan to attend the remarkable event called "Star Wars in Concert" by slapping down a couple of hundred bucks for great seats.
As I sat and watched this event before me, I thought about my childhood and what "Star Wars" meant to me, all the toys my family bought for me that I played with and adored, my long-gone friends who loved "Star Wars" with me, and the good times I've had enjoying them then and since. Here I am, 36 years old and still loving this phenomenon. "Star Wars in Concert" is nothing short of remarkable, especially if you're a fan. It's a dazzling array of vibrant music and wonderful visuals that send the viewer into a state of awe. Laser lights, projected image lights, flames, smoke, and Blu-ray quality montages of the saga create pure magic.
By now, you should know what "Star Wars in Concert" is—a live symphony orchestra playing selected pieces of John Williams' score from the six "Star Wars" films, while a giant LCD screen plays specially edited clips from all the films for the concert. Our narrator/host is none other than C-3PO himself, Anthony Daniels, doing a great job hamming it up and telling us the story of "Star Wars" and prepping us for each piece.
I once had a small poster that I ordered through the mail just after "Return of the Jedi" came out.
